Our chief engineer began working on the problem immediately to prevent further damage, but the incident forced us to utilize a back-up transmitter with reduced signal strength. This means fewer listeners outside the Fort Wayne metro area can hear us clearly as of now.

Tue, 25 Mar 2014 18:08:58 +0000 Sean Bueter 28184 at http://wboi.org Update On 89.1 WBOI's Signal Strength 89.1 WBOI Running at Reduced Power Due to Electrical Issues http://wboi.org/post/891-wboi-running-reduced-power-due-electrical-issues
Due to electrical issues beyond our control, 89.1 WBOI is running at reduced power. We hope to have the issue resolved as soon as possible. Remember, you can always listen online at wboi.org or by downloading the free NIPR app for your smartphone or tablet. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience!
Thu, 20 Mar 2014 11:15:02 +0000 Katy Anderson 27959 at http://wboi.org 94.1 WBNI to Broadcast Fort Wayne Philharmonic's "Audience Choice 2013/14" http://wboi.org/post/941-wbni-broadcast-fort-wayne-philharmonics-audience-choice-201314
94.1 WBNI is proud to broadcast the Fort Wayne Philharmonic's Masterworks Series. This Thursday, March 13th at 7pm we will be featuring the March 1st concert, "Audience Choice 2013/14."
Wed, 12 Mar 2014 20:43:22 +0000 Katy Anderson 27627 at http://wboi.org 94.1 WBNI Signal Disrupted Due to Weather Conditions http://wboi.org/post/941-wbni-signal-disrupted-due-weather-conditions
Snow and ice have accumulated on the antennas that send our signal from our studio site to the transmitter site in Roanoke. We are working on finding a solution to this issue. In the meantime, you can still listen live at wbni.org or on 89.1 HD-2. Thank you for your patience!
Wed, 12 Mar 2014 17:53:36 +0000 Katy Anderson 27616 at http://wboi.org
