Fort Wayne Native Scores Big With First Feature Film

Oscilloscope Laboratories

This weekend, Cinema Center will feature a special screening of the independent film, Animals

The movie was directed by Fort Wayne native Collin Schiffli. And it’s picking up accolades, and a lot of attention.

Last year, Animals won the “Courage by Storytelling” award at the South by Southwest Film Festival and has been picked up for national distribution.

And at 28 years old, Schiffli is younger than your typical feature film director.

He’s coming home this weekend for Saturday’s screening, and will participate in an audience Q&A afterward.

WBOI’s Katy Anderson talked to Schiffli this week about his film, the road to becoming a director, and his plans for the future.

Animals will premiere this Friday at 6:30pm Cinema Center.  On Saturday, the film will be featured at 8pm and will be followed by a Q&A with Schiffli.
