Fort Wayne Public Works Prepares For Weekend Snow

FILE

There’s an 80 percent chance of snow between tonight and tomorrow, which could lead to an inch or two of accumulation by late Saturday.

With high winds in the forecast as well, slick driving conditions can be expected for the weekend.

Fort Wayne Public Works spokesman Frank Suarez says the city has prepared its streets, applying a liquid brine in order to reduce the likelihood of ice formations on the roads.

Suarez also says trucks are ready for plowing if necessary overnight.
