Allen Circuit Court Magistrate Andrea Trevino will be sworn in Tuesday to finish out Allen Superior Judge Dan Heath's term.
In early March, Gov. Eric Holcomb appointed Trevino to the position of judge in the Allen Superior Court's Family Relations division. She will handle juvenile cases and oversee the Allen County Juvenile Justice Center.
Trevino is a 1999 graduate of St. Joseph's College and the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University in 2003. She was appointed as a magistrate in Allen Circuit Court in late fall 2013.
Heath retired in February, after serving as a judge in the Allen Superior Court system since 1997.
