USF Goes "En Plein Air" With Cape Ann Connections

The "Cape Ann Connections" exhibition kicks off this year's arts season at the University of Saint Francis. The show features works from several artists, including Indiana painter Fred Doloresco.

The University of St. Francis is kicking off its arts season with a unique exhibition called Cape Ann Connections.

The exhibit showcases that scenic portion of the New England coast in the en plein air style of painting for which the region is known, and features historic and contemporary Cape Ann painters, as well as Indiana artists who visit the cape seasonally to paint there.

Fort Wayne's Jesters Spin a "Horse Tale" on the USF Stage

The Jesters performing group is itself a unique story in Fort Wayne's theater community.

Formed more than thirty years ago and sponsored by the University of Saint Francis, the Jesters is comprised of people with mild to severe disabilities with a wide variety of generations represented, with the goal of enhancing each member's quality of life.

Each spring, the group presents an original, multi-media performance.

Mayor Henry Proposes $3 Million Investment in USF Downtown Campus

Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry announced a proposal today to help renovate the University of Saint Francis’ downtown campus. The proposal would be paid for with the City’s Legacy Funds. 

Henry says Fort Wayne is a center of education, and the city should capitalize on that benefit. He says "a lot of people don't realize that we have truly a college town. We have over 30,000 college students in this city."

USF plans to further renovate the Scottish Rite Facility on Berry Street, which is now their Performing Arts Center.
