As spring approaches, so does another season of fundraising for the station. Given the success of last fall's "warp drive", we wanted to bring it back - with the same goal of limiting interruptions to the programming that WBOI listeners count on to stay informed and entertained.
If you aren't familiar, here's how this warp drive will work: Starting now, we ask you to consider donating to 89.1 WBOI. We'll continue to make donation requests through mail, emails, social media and on-air promotional spots, but there will be zero interruptions to any news, storytelling or music programs. If we raise our goal of $200,000 before March 16th, there will be no on-air fund drive. If we don't meet our goal, we will have to go LIVE on March 16th until the goal is met.
We'll be unlocking a lot of special giveaways throughout the drive. To read more about the current drawing, click here.
Last year, our listeners helped us raise over 60% of the goal before the drive started and reduced the on-air fund drive to 5 days - setting a new fundraising record for the station. Will you help us break our record?
