Arena Dinner Theatre Set to Charm With A Little Night Music

Christopher Murphy likens this Sondheim classic to "theatrical champagne."

If you're searching for a clever bit of theatrical merriment to enjoy on a warm summer evening, Arena Dinner Theatre's upcoming production may be the answer to your quest.

"A Little Night Music," a classic Stephen Sondheim musical, directed by Christopher Murphy, is a charming blend of comedy, intrigue and romance, set in 1900 Sweden.

Besides its flirtatious plot and witty dialogue, the audience is sure to be charmed by the elegant period costuming, intricate dance scenes and memorable songs this show features, including the iconic "Send in the Clowns."

Last week, WBOI's Julia Meek sat down with Murphy, and lead actress, Leslie Beauchamp, for a sneak peek at the play's finer points, and to learn what assormtent of twists, turns and surprises the cast and crew are preparing to unfold.
