Grooving on Guitar: An Interview with Bob Ferguson

Dave West

Whether it's acoustic, electronic or bass, the guitar is one of the most popular instruments of the modern age.  And since 1987, April has been the official month in which to celebrate it.

When WBOI's Julia Meek wanted to explore the passion for the instrument, she found that she didn't need to look very far.

Longtime WBOI volunteer Bob Ferguson has been sharing his own Guitar Showcase over our airwaves for 30 years now, and was more than happy to chat about his long-term obsession.

You can catch Guitar Showcase on WBOI every Tuesday night at 10 p.m. And to learn more about Bob's guitar instruction, visit his website.

A Fort Wayne native, Julia is a radio host, graphic artist, and community volunteer, who has contributed to NIPR both on- and off-air for forty years. Besides being WBOI's arts & culture reporter, she currently co-produces and hosts Folktales and Meet the Music.
