Rick Kinney is honored to have new partners, Chuck and Lisa Surack on board to see his dreams for the Clyde Theatre fast becoming a reality.

Rick Kinney, founder of Even Keel Event Productions, and his new equity partners, Chuck Surack, CEO of Sweetwater Sound and his wife Lisa, are eager to make Rick's dream of establishing one of Indiana's premier arts and entertainment venues a reality.

Once converted into a performance hall, the space will accommodate a standing-room-only crowd of 2,220 or 612 in seated format. Longer term plans will address refurbishing of the surrounding Quimby Village retail spaces to attract local entrepreneurs. View  the entire Quimby Village complex here.

Earlier this week, WBOI's Julia Meek met with Kinney to discuss the scope of the project, and the impact it will make on Fort Wayne's cultural landscape.

For more information on the renovation and project updates, visit the Clyde Theatre website.

A Fort Wayne native, Julia is a radio host, graphic artist, and community volunteer, who has contributed to NIPR both on- and off-air for forty years. Besides being WBOI's arts & culture reporter, she currently co-produces and hosts Folktales and Meet the Music.
