The Tuba Chronicles Highlight Fort Wayne Jazz Scene

Joseph Daley is an internationally recognized composer, educator, and leader of his own Tuba Trio, which will be coming to Fort Wayne on March 20th, for a concert at the Big Apple Jazz Club.

The Trio--Daley, Warren Smith, and Scott Robinson, will be joined by Fort Wayne's veteran jazz performers, Michael Patterson, Jim Steele and David Streeter, for an evening of music from Daley's recent cd, "The Tuba Chronicles."

And the show, hosted by Wunderkammer Company, will be preceded by a meet and greet, and Q&A with the Trio.

Earlier this week, WBOI's Julia Meek spoke by phone with Joesph, to discuss his early years spent learning his craft in New York City, why his passion for the "low horns" has driven his life, and how jazz has shaped his musical legacy.
