The American Civil Liberties Union is suing Gov. Mike Pence to stop him from blocking federal funds that help Syrian refugees move to Indiana.

Governor Mike Pence hosted a community conversation at Ivy Tech in Fort Wayne on Tuesday. But many attendees didn’t think their questions were answered.

Questions at the forum included topics like education, criminal justice and gay marriage.

Brian Weck of Fort Wayne asked about North Side High School’s mascot. He’s had six kids graduate from North Side, and says the Redskins mascot is about honoring Native Americans, not offending them.

Mike Pence for Indiana

Indiana’s Republican Party chairman Monday announced Governor Mike Pence will make a bid for a second term.  The incumbent could face a tougher test than he did in 2012.

A Pence run for reelection wasn’t always considered a lock as the Hoosier governor had been mentioned – sometimes prominently – as a 2016 presidential contender.
