At the end of September, the Trump administration announced a proposal to lower the cap on the number of refugees allowed to come into the US. Fort Wayne is home to several communities of refugees as well as organizations that help to resettle them. I spoke with Sarah Colagrossi, a University of Saint Francis graduate from Elkhart, Indiana. She completed her senior project last fall, and it was a silent art auction called Hope For Syria. Proceeds from the auction went to organizations helping resettle refugees in the US.
